Fishworks Restaurant
91 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver, BC V7M 2E5
(778) 340-3449 | http://www.fishworks.ca
Lunch: Mon-Fri 11:30am-2:30pm, Dinner: Mon-Sun 5pm-late

All dishes were wonderfully balanced flavors with fresh ingredients. Beats many other seafood restaurants we’ve tried in this genre not only in taste, but also in price.

Appetizers:

  • Special of the day: Pan Seared Scallop (perfectly grilled)
  • Steamed Honey Mussels, Lemongrass, Thai Basil, Chilies, Coconut Juice – 12 (nicely balanced seasoning)
  • Dungeness Crab cake, Basil aioli, Smoked red pepper puree – 12 (moist, moist, moist)

Mains:

  • Special of the day: Salmon Wellington (sauce is better than gravy at Pink Peppercorn’s, salmon more moist and flavorful)
  • Black Linguine, BC spot prawns, Spicy Salami and Green Chiles – 18 (sweet prawns, light flavorful pasta)
  • Queen Charlotte Sablefish, Sake Kasu marinated, Pearl onion, Shitake mushroom – 25 (she had me at “it melts”)

Dessert:

  • Tiramisu (very good but Silvana’s is best)
  • Pineapple ice cream (refreshing)
  • Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse (satisfying)
