C Restaurant

butter_0353We tried C Restaurant for this year’s Dine Out Vancouver and it didn’t disappoint! Here are some pix before the dishes went down the hatch.

They didn’t chintz on the butter – a pre-cursor to our meal.

scallop_0354I ordered the Octopus Bacon wrapped scallop because it’s on the VanMagazine 101 Things To Taste and had no regrets.

The Octopus was a subtle smokiness, adding to the delicate scallop.

dome_0358 The waiter asked “Will the gentleman be long? Should we wait before serving the entree?”. A silver dome was placed on his plate to keep the steak warm. Then 3 servers came out to serve all 4 of us at the same time!

Pan Seared Johnstone Striaght Silverbrite Salmon: White bean and chorizo cassoulet, frothy Spot Prawn bisque (opps, my photo doesn’t do the prawn bisque froth any justice). I could have eaten JUST the beans!

Pan Seared AAA Beef Flatiron Steak: Overnight braised brisket, crushed Yukon Gold potatoes, caramelized cauliflower, Agassiz garlic jus

meringe_0359 cake_0360 Desert a)  Lemon Tart with Fresh vanilla Preserved fraser valley blueberry gel and b) Chocolate and Poached Pear Layer Cake Cinnamon Crumble, Caramel Chantilly

We marked them very highly on their comment card. Would definitely consider going back.

Incredible looking meals! Also looks like they try to have local stuff on their menu also (agassiz garlic jus). And that lemon tarts looks divine!!!
